Sneezing is a natural biological reflex that helps protect the human body. It occurs when something irritates the inside of the nose.
First, dust, pollen, smoke, or germs enter the nasal cavity. Then, the sensitive nerves inside the nose detect the irritation. Next, these nerves send signals to the brain. After that, the brain responds by activating the chest and throat muscles. As a result, air is forced out quickly through the nose and mouth.
This sudden release of air removes the irritants from the nasal passages. Therefore, sneezing plays an important role in keeping the respiratory system clean and healthy.
